Steven Spielberg is a genius!!

I thought his powers as a filmmaker had diminished, until I read something that made me respect anew his amazing ferbile imagination (per Cinescape.com):

"DreamWorks has hired John Glenn and Travis Wright to turn an untitled Steven Spielberg idea into a feature script. The thriller follows an innocent man who must go on the run when he becomes a target for the powers-that-be."

An innocent man who must go on the run when he becomes a target for the powers-that-be?! Wowsers!!

I've never quite understood the elevation of Spielberg to deity status. Over the weekend I rewatched "A Walk in the Sun". To say that the ludicrous piece of crap "Saving Private Ryan" Spielberg cranked out falls far short of that film is an understatement.

Spielberg movies are always like a dinner of fried rice. Tasty, but you'll be hungry in 20 minutes. Not much but fluff.

In the vein of this foolishness... I read a NYT's review of the remake of "The Manchurian Candidate" They actually raved about how clever it was to have the villian be a corporation. Good Lord, don't they even watch movies?

Man, how can they fail with a plot like that! I mean--hang on, wait a minute, I think my head is going to explode--nnn--whew, it didn't.

Good thing, too, because I'm designated driver. Mr. Spielberg, please reign in your genius, you almost caused a calamity!

How much you want to bet the protagonist winds up crossing paths with a hooker with a heart of gold?

Didn't Spielberg already do this, when it was called Minority Report?

The 'wowser' part is that the character's innocence will be realized through the magic of CGI.
